For the love of Vines

In the spring of this year I was assigned to interpret for Terlato Wines in Austin conducted in Italian. We stopped by a number of local wineries to give a live demonstration of the pruning system implemented by Marco Simonit & Pierpaolo Sirch. In addition to the extremely interesting presentation and lively step by step account of how they optimize their yield and significantly extend the life of the vines, the bottom line is amore! TLC and true love for the vines, roots and the soil. The proof is in the wine! At the end of the day, I headed back home with half a dozen bottles of their 2015 Pinot Grigio from the TERLATO vineyards located in the center of the Friuli Colli Orientali. I am saving one still. It was in a sense an invitation to a sensational party and rather embarrassing to send my invoice!
